Cookie Policy
1. Overview
In this document, "Lingverra" refers to LLC "DataPrime" (registration number 46215708), the company operating the Lingverra service; "Lingverra" is the commercial designation under which the company provides the service.
LLC "DataPrime" uses only strictly necessary cookies on this website and in this web application. We use no tracking, analytics, advertising or profiling cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent under Art. 5(3) sentence 2 of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and its national implementation, as they are strictly necessary to transmit a communication or to provide the service explicitly requested by the user.
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy. For your data subject rights and the competent supervisory authority, see Privacy Policy Section 9.
2. Cookies We Use
All cookies listed below are first-party cookies set exclusively on our domain. No third-party tracking cookies are set on our domain.
2.1 Session & Login
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | HttpOnly | Secure | SameSite |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
lv_session |
Authenticated user session. Signed server-side; contains no personal data in plain text. | Session | Yes | Yes | Lax |
lv_trustTrusted-device token |
Recognition of a trusted device in two-factor authentication; avoids repeated 2FA prompts on the same device. | 30 days; revocable | Yes | Yes | Lax |
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract.
2.2 Security
We protect all state-changing requests against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). The
CSRF token is held inside the server-side session and is not stored in
a separate cookie, so no additional cookie is set for this purpose. The session cookie
lv_session listed above is itself set with SameSite=Lax, which
provides a second line of defence against cross-site requests.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in network and information security (GDPR Recital 49).
3. Browser Storage (LocalStorage)
Beyond cookies, our web application uses technical browser storage. The entries below do fall within the scope of Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (“storage of information in terminal equipment”), but are strictly necessary: only interface settings and the state of a task you started are stored; no personal data is stored.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
theme | User-selected colour scheme (light / dark mode) |
tfResultMode | Remembers which view of a translation result you last used (document, review or comparison) |
lv_quote_job | Resumes a cost estimate that is still being calculated after the page is reloaded; removed when it finishes |
push_nudge_* | Remembers that you postponed the offer to switch on notifications, so it is not shown again at once |
Push notifications. If a translator switches on notifications about client enquiries, the browser registers a service worker (/push-sw.js) and a push subscription. This happens only at the user's request and serves only to deliver those notifications — see Privacy Policy Section 6. We use no browser storage for tracking purposes.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We embed no third-party tracking scripts, advertising networks, social-media plug-ins or analytics tools that would set cookies on our domain.
Payment processing: When you initiate a payment, the acquiring bank’s payment page (ПУМБ / hutko) is embedded on our page in an isolated frame. Any cookies set in that process are set on the payment provider’s domain — not ours — and are governed by that provider’s privacy policy. For details, see our Privacy Policy Section 5.
5. Managing Cookies
As we use only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required under applicable law. You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser settings:
Please note: Blocking the session cookie (lv_session) prevents login to the platform and,
because the CSRF token is carried inside the session, also prevents all forms from
working.
6. Data Transfers
The data set by cookies on our domain is not transferred outside the EEA. For third-party payment providers, see Privacy Policy Section 5.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority of your EU/EEA member state. For details and the contact details of the competent supervisory authority, see the Privacy Policy Section 9.
8. Changes to This Policy
We update this page when the cookies we use change. The current version is available at /legal/cookies.
