GDPR

Your data and your clients’ data

In short: what happens to a document you upload. The legally precise wording is in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement (links below).

Where the document is processed

The translation is done by the Claude language model, hosted in the EU/EEA (Amazon Bedrock). Document content does not leave the EEA and is not used to train models.

How long the document is kept

72 hours after the translation is delivered, the source file and the translation are deleted automatically. You can delete them earlier at any time with one click. Every document has its own key, and deletion destroys that key too: after that, nobody can decrypt the document — neither you nor we.

Who can read the document

Every document is encrypted with its own key (AES-256-GCM); the master key is held in a key management service in the EU (AWS KMS), not on our servers. In normal operation nobody sees document content. Access is possible only in an exceptional case with a documented reason, for example at your request to support about a specific document; every such access requires the key from the EU and is logged (AWS CloudTrail).

Who we are

Lingverra is operated by LLC "DataPrime", a company registered in Ukraine. Account and billing data (name, e-mail, payments) are accessible to our staff in Ukraine on a need-to-know basis. Document content is not transferred to Ukraine.

Data Processing Agreement

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is concluded with every user: you are the controller, we are the processor acting on your instructions.

Representative in the Union

Under Art. 27 GDPR, a representative in the Union has been designated: Prighter EU Rep GmbH, Vienna, Austria. You can contact them on any matter concerning personal data.

Payment

Card payments are processed by the acquiring bank. The bank receives only the amount and the order number, never document content.

Who is responsible for the translation

Lingverra prepares a draft translation in the layout of the original. The sworn translator checks, corrects, signs and is responsible for the translation. We do not certify anything.
